And Pinky does it in a way that doesn't compromise that he truly is a mean f***er as he claims to be. But as the pages go by, I am amazed on what kind of guy he truly is. Just get beyond them to the point when you realize that Lucy DOES like pain and humiliation.Īnd Emery? At first, you want to hate him. I do like novels far better because it takes so much time to get to this level of understanding, so imagine my surprise when I finished this novella, only to have become so sympathetic for both characters, not just Lucy.
And boy, did Pinky develop these characters in such a short amount of pages. These just dig into the psyches of both our dom and sub. There are shocking moments of intimacy that pops up without warning.

This is the first BDSM story I had to have my Puffs Plus next to me as well as a trashcan. Not because Emery is mean and nasty and cruel but because Pinky Cockburn (what a pen name!) knows the true basis of good BSDM relationships - true intimacy of a frightfully deep level. This is, by far, the best BDSM I have ever read.

This was a difficult book to survive the first ten pages. WARNING! If you don't like anal sex, do not read this book! If you have any triggers (and that's any form or degree of PTSD), do not read this book! If you have problems with anything BSDM, do not read this book! If you cannot believe that there are women who actually enjoy humiliation with their sex, do not read this book! You have been warned.
